Keeping it simple

After almost two months of studying different courses filled with theories and models that are designed to show the complexity of whatever subjects the professors deemed important, you know what I enjoy doing now? The simple things.

I’m sitting at my desk, my notes and books stacked in a closet beside me. I only vaguely want to look back at the past weeks in which I needed them so bad. I only vaguely want to look back at the past months in which all kinds of problems have troubled me. I only vaguely want to look back at the quiet rollercoaster that has been my life so far. I’m not thinking about anything. I’m just listening to some music.

My chair has rarely felt more comfortable. Music has not sounded so nice in a long while. I’ve not been so relaxed in months.

It’s the simple things that make life worthwhile. So won’t you join me in my simplicity?

PS: In case your interested, the music I’m listening to comes from http://www.musicforrelief.org/ Several artist “donate” some original songs, and all funds relieved go straight to Haïti. The album is free to download and you are free to donate. Thanks to @zofie for bringing it to mind :)
